Professor Pamela Snow Announced as Keynote Speaker for researchED NZ 2026

We are delighted to announce that Distinguished Professor Pamela Snow will deliver a keynote address at researchED New Zealand 2026, hosted at Long Bay College in May.

Professor Snow is Co-Director of the Science of Language and Reading (SOLAR) Lab in the School of Education at La Trobe University. Her internationally recognised research focuses on the critical intersections of language, literacy, and learning, with a strong emphasis on improving educational outcomes for all children.

A passionate advocate for evidence-based reading instruction, Professor Snow works to bridge the gap between research, policy, and classroom practice.

Her work seeks to ensure that every child has access to high-quality literacy teaching, underpinned by robust scientific evidence and delivered by teachers with deep professional knowledge.

This keynote will challenge and inspire educators to reflect on how research can inform practice, ensuring that literacy instruction is equitable, effective, and grounded in what is proven to work and work well.
