We are thrilled to announce that Tom Bennett, the UK Department for Education’s School Behaviour Advisor and founder of researchED, will be joining us as a keynote speaker at researchED New Zealand 2026, hosted at Long Bay College in May.
Tom Bennett is widely recognised for his work in improving behaviour and culture in schools. As the UK Government’s advisor on school behaviour, he has shaped national policy and supported thousands of educators in creating safe, structured, and supportive learning environments.
In 2013, Tom founded researchED, an international grassroots movement dedicated to raising research literacy in education and challenging myths that hinder effective teaching. Today, researchED events span the globe, connecting educators with evidence-based practices and fostering a culture of informed decision-making.
Tom is also the author of the best-selling book “Running the Room”, a practical guide that has become essential reading for teachers seeking to master classroom management and create conditions where learning thrives.
His keynote will explore the vital role of behaviour in education and how research-informed strategies can transform classrooms and empower teachers.
Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from one of education’s most influential voices at researchED New Zealand 2026.
